We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in San Jose, Costa Rica.
**Job Purpose**:
The (Senior) Internal Auditor will conduct qualified audits of Compliance and Finance topics related to the DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Supply Chain, and eCommerce Solutions divisions, as well as the Global Business Services and Corporate Center functions. This role reports to the Regional Internal Audit Manager, Finance & Compliance, Americas division in Plantation, Florida and will be based out of the Shared Service Center in El Cafetal, Heredia - San Jose, Costa Rica.
**Your tasks**:
- Gain understanding of compliance and finance related processes, perform risk-based audit testing, root cause analysis, and prepare audit work-papers in line with the DHL Group Corporate Internal Audit Methodology.
- Discuss and present draft findings to relevant local management during audits.
- Draft high quality audit findings tailored to specific needs of the engagement in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of principles, programs and tools for the audit areas within Compliance.
- Perform requested follow-up procedures as necessary.
- Execute special investigations and process improvements on ad-hoc basis.
**Your profile**:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration with focus on Finance, Accounting, Law or related field; MBA degree is a plus.
- Minimum two years of audit or compliance experience in a multi-national, leading public accounting or law firm or within the Internal Audit function of a multinational company.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance principles in Compliance Management Systems, Anti-Corruption and Business Ethics, Human Resources, Data Protection, Competition Compliance and Procurement. Experience in finance topics would be considered a valuable asset.
- Collaborative team player; high degree of integrity, high initiative and professional judgement
- Skillful in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.) and ability to learn proprietary software.
- Good communication & negotiation skills with strong reasoning; comfortable in multicultural settings.
- High flexibility and willingness to travel internationally approximately 35% within the Americas in the future when COVID19 travel restrictions ease.
- Excellent command of English language skills (written and spoken), including strong active listening.
- Proficiency in other languages, Portuguese is highly preferable.
- CIA or equivalent professional credential is a plus.
