Industrial Engineers (IE) plan plant, production facilities and equipment layouts, determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow, and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
Develop metrics to measure equipment and factory capacity and output, and to identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks and also develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
As an IE Staff IC (Individual Contributor) these will be your roles and responsibilities, among others:
- Integrate efforts across the IE team in the capacity, capital, layout and new products functions.
- Drive special projects across the team with local and Virtual Factory scope.
- Drive capital cost reduction and factory design optimization for future needs.
- Actively contribute with the IE strategy and OKR (Objective and key results) definition and accomplishment as well as IE KPIs.
- Drive strategic technical discussions within the IE staff and across other departments.
- Drive the implementation of key activities such as After Action Reviews (AAR) and problem solving.
- Create the technical career path for the IE team and be active member of development teams in Costa Rica.
- Coach other IE within the team on biz activities and development opportunities.
- This position reports to the Costa Rica Aseembly and Test Industrial Engineering Manager.
**Qualifications**

Minimum Qualifications:_**
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field of study.
Intermediate English Level.
3+ years of experience with industrial engineering, capacity planning and efficiency/cost improvements or topics related.
2+ years of experience with problem solving methodologies and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:_**
Experience in High Volume Manufacturing environment or related.
Proficiency in any of these software types: JMP, SQL, pathfinder, others related.
Experience in manufacturing capacity management in a dynamic environment.
Factory Physics knowledge.
