Key responsabilities
- Develop, implement and ensure internal indirect tax controls, processes and KPI requirements are met.
- Perform indirect tax quality & health checks to highlight indirect tax risks/opportunities, as well as developing and implementing necessary improvements.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize processes for indirect taxes.
- Develop and implement key indirect tax metric reports for management.
- Perform process standardization, optimization, improvement and documentation.
- Identify tax risks in our E2E compliance processes and implement relevant controls to mitigate risks.
- Identify areas of inefficiency and recommend business as well as indirect tax process optimization opportunities.
- Day to day management & Support of highly skilled team in charge of preparing and filing indirect tax returns.
- Coach Indirect Tax Team to solve the most complex indirect tax problems and come up with sound and practical solutions.
- Share Knowledge and identify gaps in the team to reinforce knowledge.
- Work with and response to inquiries made by Tax Authorities, Internal and External auditors and ensure proper information will be delivered.
- Provide support to Indirect Tax Closing's Month, elaborating, reviewing and approving journal entries, analyzing variances, exemptions and issues.
- Drive & initiate automation projects
- Collaborate in the in-house movement of EU VAT returns project
**Requirements**:
- University degree in tax law, accountancy, or related area
- Understand indirect tax processes in an energy company with global footprint.
- Experience in managing and positively influence a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, include the ability and desire to communicate, collaborate and coordinate with other throughout the indirect tax and finance organizations.
- Experience in ERP systems (Oracle).
- Fluent communication skills: English is a must and other European language is a plus.
- Team building skills and the ability to establish effective relationships and rapport with a wide variety of individuals.
- Energetic, driven, and proactive.
- Excellent Excel skills, VBA is a plus.
