Human Resources Generalist

Amentum is seeking an HR Generalist to join our Operations and Maintenance Team.
Under the direction of the HR Manager, the position holder will be responsible for all Human Resources related matters pertaining the client's LAR Offices.
The Human Resource Generalist will work with and provide guidance and direction to management and employees on Human Resources related matters, activities, policies, programs, processes, etc.
The Human Resource Generalist will work closely with his/her counterpart in the US Corporate office, and other members of the HR-team as defined by management.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, the position holder is expected to provide support in the functional areas of Human Resources in the LAR Offices, that include, but may not be limited to, the following:

- Compensation and benefits
- Employee relations
- Administer and assist with the creation and implementation of the company's HR policy and procedures.
- Educate, counsel, and coach employees on company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Personnel administration:

- Process all on-boarding documentation.
- Compiles and checks HR reports.
- Create, update and manage personnel files and data base(s).
- Administer and prepare employment contracts for fulltime and temporary personnel.
- Monitor the renewal dates for employment contracts.
- Payroll:

- Administer bi-monthly and weekly (if applicable) payroll.
- Point of contact for the payroll provider.
- Point of contact and assist employees and managers with any payroll related matters.
- Benefits administration:

- Provide support to employees regarding benefits and the delivery of the benefit programs.
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date and verifying social insurance administration records, filings and information in close co-operation with the company's legal representative.
- Collaborate with Managers as a strategic partner to the business.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations in regard to employment, recruitment and employee relations resolution.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline, with specialty in Human Resources.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Generalist HR experience.
- Must be able to handle and maintain a high level of confidentiality of information and communications.
- Working knowledge of Mexican labor, employment laws as well as HR practices.
- Working knowledge of payroll, social insurance and benefit administration.
- Have excellent people/interaction skills especially with clients.
- Have the ability to interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Have excellent communication skills in person (group discussions, meetings and presentations), on the telephone, and written format.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work individually, with limited supervision.
- Organization, time management skills and ability to multi-task with little margin for error.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
- Proficient in Spanish and English (both spoken and written).
- Ability to attend site-wide meetings and travel to other client, customer/supplier locations locally and travel by air to more distant locations.
Additional Requirements:

- Must have the ability to lift/move light to medium weight items to/from desks, filing cabinets, and storage locations.
- Ability to walk throughout the facility daily
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- Must be able to obtain a security access badge at the client's location.
Other Attributes:

- Must be willing to work overtime when required.
- May be required to work holidays and weekends.
