If so, Fisher Investments Costa Rica (FICR) is looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to its rapidly growing Costa Rica office!
**The Opportunity**:
As the Human Resources Generalist, you will be the primary HR resource for FICR. You will coordinate between employees, Human Resources and Legal & Compliance on a variety of employee matters. You will also build and lead HR trainings, oversee the employee exit process, and welcome new employees during their HR orientation. Being part of a bigger team, you will also work on department-wide improvement initiatives, workplace safety, and other ad hoc requests such as benefits matters, onsite emergencies, and employee appreciation. You will report directly to the Employee Relations Manager who will facilitate your training, growth, and career development.
**The Day-to-Day**:
- Oversee and effectively handling various employment matters, including performance management, complaints and investigations
- Ensure compliance with FICR's employment policies including providing guidance to managers regarding personnel practices and firm policies
- Serve as the FICR onsite HR resource for personnel questions and grievances
- Act as the FICR Occupational Health Officer
- Create and oversee various employment trainings
- Compile, maintain, and audit HR documentation, such as personnel and Right to Work documents
- Handle FICR termination processes, including conducting exit interviews and overseeing exiting logistics while working with legal counsel
- Serve as the onsite support for various FICR Human Capital needs, such as Total Rewards events, Benefits and New Employee Orientation
**Your Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience required
- Working knowledge of Costa Rican employment laws (Benefits, Payroll, antidiscrimination and harassment, terminating lawfully, etc.)
- Fluent English and Spanish language skills, both written and spoken
- Formal Occupational Safety education (as recognized by the Ministry of Public Education) preferred
