Bilingual Human Resources Director in Costa Rica What We Are Looking For We are looking for an experienced Bilingual HR Manager to lead our HR team in Costa Rica.
You will take ownership of all HR matters across the Costa Rica office location from recruitment to performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary action, implementation of protocol and procedures, and Payroll.
We would like this individual to have knowledge with Caja and Haciemda matters. To perform well in this role you should have experience as an HR Director, or other senior roles in the HR team, and knowledge around all legal requirements in this role.

Strong knowledge of Labor Code including Labor Proceeding Reforma.

Deep knowledge of Labor Ministry resolutions regarding topics like, absences, payment of overtime, difference between monthly salary and hourly salary, vacations, prenotice, severance, sick leaves by CCSS and INS 3.
Good knowledge of calculation of payroll, deductions, and subsidies, retention because garnishments and child support 4.
Strong knowledge of CCSS and INS regulations regarding sick leaves and subsidies payment.

Deep knowledge of maternity and paternity license process and its payment.

Experience in recruiting and hiring personnel.

Experience calculating liquidation of personnel with and without prenotice and severance payment.
8.
Experience reporting to CCSS, INS and Tributacion Directa 9.
Able to handle sensitive information 10.
Very organized, able to manage accurate personnel records.

Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
University degree in human resources management or equivalent.
Experience in human resources or related fields.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
Experience in educating and coaching staff.
Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.
Ability to give presentations.
Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
