You are an Employee Experience champion and as part of the HR team, you'll provide hands-on support Nitel's all-star cast of employees. Like a versatile athlete, you'll seamlessly navigate through recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and training, ensuring a winning experience for every Nitel team member.
**your playbook**
- Maintain and update employee data in the HRMS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Generate reports from the HRMS to provide crucial data to people managers and the payroll contractor, ensuring accurate processing of employee's time off and related benefits.
- Assist employees with HRMS inquiries and provide training on HRMS functionalities.
- Assist with new hire orientation, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
- Efficiently manage the offboarding process for employees separating from the organization while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with corporate HR to administer employee benefits programs and other employee perks.
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure accurate enrollment and termination of benefits.
- Help drive corporate culture that aligns with Nitel's values and prioritizes employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies in all HR activities.
- Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
- Assist with assigned HR projects.
**skills you bring to the field**
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' progressive HR experience
- Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and verbal)
- Knowledge of benefits administration and ability to answer employee inquiries
- Strong people skills and an incredibly high standard for safeguarding confidentiality
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to handle employee concerns or conflicts with empathy and diplomacy
