Riverpoint Medical in Northeast Portland is looking to hire a Receptionist **Human Resources Assistant, Receptionist Costa Rica.** At Riverpoint you will be part of the process that brings great technology to Medical, Dental and Veterinary markets. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of premium medical devices. Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies. The Receptionist - HR Assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database to posting job ads. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. Will also assist in creating policies, processes, and documents, and will lend support as a receptionist.
**Duties and Responsibilities for the position include**:
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
- Provide administrative support to managers.
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, evaluations etc.)
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.)
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant
- Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
- Basic knowledge of labor laws
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communications skills
- Degree in Human Resources or related field will be a plus.
