**Job Overview**
Unlike a COO role, the HOD position maximizes efficiency within specific internal departments. You'll be a strategic leader, leveraging data to make informed decisions and drive successful project completion. This role is critical in driving the operational success of Tax Goddess, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effective management of resources.
**Responsibilities**
Provide strategic direction and leadership for all internal operations departments, including legal, data analysis, project management, process and system implementation, QC/QA, and operational admins. Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Lead the department's daily operations to achieve the highest standards of efficiency and quality. Drive operational excellence through effective management and strategic oversight.
Align departmental operations with the company's strategic objectives, ensuring your team's efforts contribute directly to the firm's goals.
Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes and systems, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness across all internal departments. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of key operational projects. Manage resources effectively and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet established quality standards.
Leverage data analysis to identify trends and insights that inform strategic decision-making concerning internal operations. Collaborate with the data analysis team to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Establish and maintain a robust QC/QA framework to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of all internal operations.
Ensure all operations for the entire firm comply with legal and regulatory standards. Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the department and company as a whole while working closely with your legal department.
Develop and manage the operational budget for all internal departments, ensuring efficient allocation, sustainability, and cost-effective resource management.
Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team within internal operations. Ensure that your teams & your upline manager thrive.
Champion the adoption of technological solutions that streamline departmental operations and enhance service delivery.
**About You**
7+ years in operational leadership roles within Operations management, with a demonstrated track record in the tax, accounting, legal, or other financial services industry.
You have a proven track record of building, motivating, and guiding multiple teams within fast-paced environments. Your exceptional leadership skills ensure operational excellence.
Complex projects are your playground. You excel at leading and overseeing them from initiation to successful completion.
Your eagle eye identifies areas for improvement, and you implement innovative solutions that streamline processes and leverage technology for peak performance.
Data holds no secrets for you. You analyze trends and translate insights into strategic actions that propel growth—strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Implementing new processes and systems is your forte. You manage change effectively, ensuring smooth transitions—experience with implementing new processes and systems within an organization.
Familiarity with the legal and regulatory framework relevant to the tax and/or financial services industry.
**Working Hours**
Our USA business hours include MANDATORY overlap (8:00 am to 12:00 PM Arizona time)
Expect to work at least 40 hours per week.
