The financial controller position is responsible for the management of the entire financial aspects of Habitat for Humanity Haiti program.
A key focus of this position is to provide expert grants management and oversight for multiple grants from bi and multi-lateral donors.
Having strategic and operational responsibilities such as budget, policies implementation and training staff.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Financial and grants management: including but not limited to treasury planning, forecast and cashflows, BvA analysis, etc.

- Accounting overseas ensuring accepted international standards and funding-based accounting properly.

- Ensure the implementation of systems that allows the efficiently and effectiveness of resources, including data management as well as reporting and analysis platforms with a business intelligence approach.

- Risk management and compliance: ensure compliance with Habitat policies, accepted international standards and local laws.
Risk management follow up at NO level.

- Update and refresh policies and procedures at NO level 10%
- Support other areas providing key business and financial information to help the implementation of local programs successfully.

- Lead and support process review and effectiveness 10%
**Minimum & Qualifications**
- Finance/Economics/Admin degree level
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting teams as leadership
- Grant accounting and compliance experience with multilateral donors such as USAID, EU, ECHO, Global Affairs, World Bank, etc
- ERP/accounting solutions experience (e.g.
SAP, Infor, etc)
- Proficient English and French (at least level B2 on both)
- Ability to work in cross-cultural environments
- Strong Communication skills
- both oral and written.
- Language: French, English and Spanish required.
**Preferred - in addition to minimum**
- CPA or similar
- Knowledge of project management, compliance or any other specializations are a plus
- Other languages such as Spanish and/or Creole is a plus
