**Location**
This role can be based in any Central or South American country.
**Role Purpose**
Position is responsible in driving operational excellence and quality through efficiency, providing guidance and support to all Central and South America country operations, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Develops strategies and plans to support ground operations towards achieving the company's goals.
**Main Accountabilities**
- Establishes metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor process performance, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and reporting findings to senior management.
- Assists in planning resource utilization to improve productivity in all Service Centers and Gateway's throughout the CSA area.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance operational processes to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality and service.
- Works closely with other departments such as Service Quality, Customer Service, Infrastructure & Fleet, Commercial and Finance to align process initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Forecasts facility, vehicle, staffing and/or material handling equipment needs in order to improve cost, utilization, service, and efficiencies.
- Recommends methods for maximizing production in Pick-up, Delivery and Gateway operations by restructuring and reorganizing work flows.
- Prepares cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluates cost factors; recommends changes in Service Center/Gateway pertaining to cost control, as well as time and motion, work standards, work methods, personnel utilization, service, and quality.
- Coordinates route management and ground network optimization in order to ensure productivity.
- Ensures operations are driving quality through efficiency while adhering to compliance standards.
- Performs evaluations of 3rd party services and evaluates courier route design and efficiency.
**Requirements**:
- Requires high level of critical thinking and ingenuity in bringing successful resolution to unusually complex and strategic issues.
- Strong knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, processes, and practices.
- Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and diverse experience in related field.
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and implementing projects.
- Ability to interface and drive results with management at all levels.
- Professional certification required.
- Travel required below 50%
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
