**Our Team**
Reporting to the Manager, Creative Services, the Graphic Designer creates innovative and effective promotional graphics and coupons for digital and print media channels for various retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with a creative production team that values autonomy and support to enrich the employee's professional development.
**Responsibilities**
- Design, optimize, revise and pre-flight client-supplied and/or existing graphics to ensure production specifications and best practices are met.
- Design Catalina's portfolio of print and digital products
- Own and self-prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain project data in our project management systems.
- Archive completed projects and maintain Creative Services libraries.
- Occasionally offer design support for internal company communication.
- Keep up to date on design trends, production technology and brand marketing, with a focus on the CPG and Retail industry.
- Propose design solutions to clients whenever opportunities for improvement arise.
- Actively participate in Operations Department and Creative Services meetings, keeping up to speed with the company's goals and direction.
**Qualifications**
- Online portfolio demonstrating knowledge of design, layout, and typography.
- 3+ years of graphic design experience in an agency or in-house setting.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop).
- Familiarity with designing across devices preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and knowledge of grammar and composition rules required for editing and proofreading material.
- A capacity for rapid assimilation of new information.
- Strategic problem-solving techniques to design challenges.
- A strong work ethic with innovative and critical thinking abilities.
- Exceptional organizational abilities.
- Motivation to share ideas, solutions, and questions, while embracing opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Ability to explain and defend design concepts to individuals without design expertise.
- High level of agility to switch direction in products and processes in real-time.
