**Who we Want**:- ** Analytical problem solvers. **People who go beyond just fixing to identify root causes, evaluate optimal solutions, and recommend comprehensive upgrades to prevent future issues.- ** Goal-oriented**:Keeping the customer and requirements squarely in focus, people who deliver safe and robust solutions.- ** Collaborative partners.** People who build and leverage cross-functional relationships to bring together ideas, information, use cases, and industry analyses to develop best practices.- ** Dedicated achievers.** People who thrive in a fast-paced environment and will stop at nothing to ensure a project is complete and meets regulations and expectations.**What you will do**:Systems Knowledge- Issue suggested purchase orders based upon ERP system suggestions and supply plans.- SAP experience preferred including purchasing activity, testing, master data, troubleshooting.- Request changes to purchase order dates from suppliers based upon MRP system suggestions.- Update MRP system to ensure clear communication of expected FG stocking.- Understand and investigate component constraints at suppliers and challenge where appropriate.- Issue purchase orders to support engineering changes.- Maintain item master detail in accordance with established business rules.- Monitor necessary reports and resolve all associated issues or errors.- Gather analyst inputs for all metrics and consolidate for appropriate business reviews.- Perform power user duties and act as primary trainer for business systems.- Perform required tasks for Supplier Initiated Change Requests and Engineering Change OrdersCustomer Management- Coordinate consolidated updates to the business on the status and direction on at least a weekly basis.- Update internal customers on key finished goods supply issues and drive them to resolution.- Coordinate engineering changes between internal customers and suppliers.- Coordinate with and educate M&A and NPD teams in procurement details and requirements for launches.- Assess and analyze procurement processes to improve as required to meet demand.Supplier Management- First escalation point for all supplier issues.- Maintains current and accurate understanding of the entire business including risk to supply, new business integration, and engineering changes.- Works with analysts to maintain continuity of supply and product availability.- Challenge all price increase requests/charges from suppliers and escalate if unsuccessful.- Track appropriate team metrics to meet goals and drive improvement as needed.- Hold suppliers accountable to shipment plan.- Identify supplier capacity constraints.Data Analytics- Lead data analytics to expose and address the root cause of any/all supply issues.- Use data analytics to support the capacity analysis for strategic suppliers.- Understand, root cause, and take action for solution upon discovery of discrepancy or problem exposed.Process Development- Mentors colleagues in purchasing and lends experience and knowledge to assist others in the department and the business.- Refine current processes to better accommodate current business.- Develop and implement new processes to better support business changes.- Own and develop procedures in the purchasing business process map.- Utilize cross functional influence to improve purchasing process and procedures.- Drive creative solutions and communicate/suggest best practices to management and colleagues.- Recommend, develop, and implement new processes to support business changes.- Own the purchasing business process map end to end.- Fill in for purchasing manager as needed- As a Lead, must be able to train and mentor new team members and take the lead in complex initiatives facing the team.**About Stryker**:Stryker is one of the world's leading medical technology companies and, together with our customers, is driven to make healthcare better.The company offers innovative products and services in Medical and Surgical, Neurotechnology, Orthopedics, and Spine that help improve patient and healthcare outcomes.
