Huntsman is seeking a Global Invoicing Specialist supporting the Legal department in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Legal Department Controller.
Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to providing accounts payable support to the Global Legal Department, including:
- Investigating and reconciling vendor statements, and resolving questions involving outstanding aging invoices in a timely manner;
- Answering inquiries from internal clients and outside vendors regarding accounts payable and related matters;
- Verifying supporting documentation for daily invoice processing, including reviewing invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and general ledger/cost coding; and
- Posting invoices and credits.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounts payable; or
- A 4-year degree with at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.):
- Ability to solve issues based on solid data analysis and well-developed critical thinking skills;
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines;
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent English language skills.
- Strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement;
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully and work effectively with Legal Department colleagues, internal clients, and external vendors across the globe;
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload and maintain an organized and orderly work process; and
- Willingness to assist other Legal Department associates in accomplishing department and Company goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Ariba, accounts payable and other financial reporting systems is preferred.
- Some experience in a law (or accounting) firm or a corporate (in-house) legal department would be a plus.
