**About the role**:
**Key responsibilities**:
Manage and improve regulatory processes, ensuring efficient, accurate and timely delivery solution and support to key customers. Translating business goals to function goals. Ensure that products meet national and international legislation requirements supporting EUM and Foundation Technology Strategy. Manage and develop a team of Regulatory & Scientific Specialists. Represents the multiple functions in-charged in resolving complex cross-functional business issues. Support communication with office corporation for business solution, responsible for functional sub regional Strategy.
- The role has 3 primary areas of focus:
- Business partnering to support KERRY Strategy
- Lead the team, ensuring people development
- Legislation compliance
- Horizon Scanning

Key Individual Accountabilities
- Develop team
- Trade Association Management
- Regulatory Authorities & Regulation Impacts
- People Management (as appropriate aligned to spans & layers)
- Partner with Global teams where required
- Business partnering - regulatory strategy
- Horizon scan across the Regulatory and Compliance landscape

- Policies and procedures
- Project Management, M&A
- Claims, novel ingredients according to strategy
- Manage and protect IP
- Horizon Scanning
- Assure customer satisfaction for customized & personalized services
- Assure deliverables of the Services KPIs

**Qualifications and skills**:
**Qualifications**:

- Degree or local equivalence of same in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Food Science, Food Eng, Chemical Eng, Nutricionist or related discipline
- Functional Competencies: Knowledge of relevant regulations globally. Key technical contact for identified customers/stakeholders, with responsibility to foster good relationships. Understanding Food Industry structure and regulatory implications.
- Technical Competencies: Good knowledge of regional food legislation. Fluency in English language both oral and written. Leadership skills. Strategic Mindset.

**Experience**:
10 + years of experience in Regulatory Affairs (at least 5 as a Manager)
Industry / Sector Specific: Food industry, Regulatory, QA, RD&A or associated regulatory agency. Experience of managing people or leading teams
Management Level: Management experience working in a local leadership team in a matrixed organization.
