Our Finance team is currently looking for a talented **General Accountant** in Costa Rica** **who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial accounting processes, in the different following towers: general ledger, fixed assets, taxes, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
This role is also responsible for implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Overall, the objective is to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of the company's financial records and reporting.
**Here's what you'll be doing**:
- Prepare monthly trial balances for the companies, to be submitted by the 3rd business day of the following month.
- Relationship with GBS.
- Record all accounting transactions of the companies within the established time frame according to the chart of accounts.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise administrative accounting operations.
- Review and reconcile subsidiary balances vs. general ledger.
- Supervise and oversee accounting analyses of operations.
- Review and verify the bank reconciliation process, as well as reconciliation processes for accounts classified as high, medium, and low risk.
- Coordinate the delivery of documentation and necessary information to external auditors to ensure timely submission of Audited Financial Statements.

- Ensure compliance with applicable internal control procedures of the parent company within established timelines.
- Supervise, control, and evaluate subordinate personnel.
We'll make a **match** if you meet the following **requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting - CPA.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.
- 3-5 years of experience in leading teams.
- Bilingual - English and Spanish proficiency.
- knowledge of SAP / ERPs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel (intermediate/advanced), including pivot tables.
- Deep knowledge of accounting standards - IFRS Knowledge of Internal Controls desirable.
