The Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi's financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team.
The overall objective is to utilize in-depth disciplinary knowledge to generate and analyze reports as well as contribute to the development of new techniques to improve processes and work-flow.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop effective and efficient operating model with international FP&A teams to smoothly migrate activities into the site
- Strong analytical support working with local FP&A teams and their business partners
- Understand in-depth how work is coordinated across areas and how it impacts the overall organization and bank strategies to make judgements and recommendations based on analysis
- Influence decisions through advice, counsel and/ or facilitating support to others in area of specialization.
- Drive financial conversation directly with finance partners & senior management
- Work on ad-hoc request based on the business necessity.
Specific activities include:
- Drives analysis of key management review decks for regions & products
- Participation in time critical activities for FP&A teams
- Leading monthly and quarterly analytical insights.. Focus of the team will be addressing ad-hoc strategic issues that are complementary to regular planning and analysis processes
- Development of materials for review with Business
- Participation in forward looking activities including annual budgeting and monthly estimate process
- Drive standardization of processes including the identification of productivity and efficiency
- Lead and support improvement programs from different perspectives (VOE, Reengineering, etc.)
- Work affects multiple teams as well as closely related work areas
- Partner with other areas such as Controllership, CAA & ISG to build a process that incorporates insights that could impact the planning and outlook process.
- Collaborate with Risk & Control to ensure FP&A CR complies with local and global policies to mitigate all kinds of risks derivate from our business nature.
**Qualifications**:
- 6-10 Years of experience
- 4 years FP&A experience preferred
- Understanding of Banking is preferable but not essential.
Finance products and markets knowledge is required
- Strong Financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
- Keen interest in business and Economic Environment
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
Portuguese is a plus
- Medium-Advanced domain in MS Excel and Power Point.
- VBA, Power BI and Tableau knowledge is a plus
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Industrial Engineer or related field
- Post graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is desired
