The Citi Global Wealth (CGW) Expense Lead Analyst reports into the CGW Expense Lead and supports the CGW business head and the broader CGW senior leadership team.
**Key Responsibilities**

Expense management: Support the CGW business working closely with key stakeholders (e.g., FP&A lead, Client Segment LFOs, Product/Investment finance staff, CGW Chief Operating Office, O&T and GF) to optimize decision making in a highly competitive and changing market environment and deliver on financial targets.
Examples of critical activities include: investment prioritization and approval; productivity and CGW finance transformation; BAU performance tracking and review; Quarterly Forecasting (QMMF) and outlook processes.
Specific areas of focus will be:

- Manage and provide guidance on global financial and analysis processes for Total CGW Expenses
- Facilitate decision support by creating presentations for regular senior management financial performance and strategy reviews (e.g., Monthly or Quarterly Business Reviews, Outlooks, CCAR, Plan, among others)
- Responsible for providing management with analysis and insight of CGW financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team with special emphasis on Expenses (Investments: Transformation, Non-Transformation and Business-led) as well as Productivity initiatives.
- Manage Investment and Productivity Cognos Tool, Finance Calendar & Targets for Actuals and Forward Looking Projections (Forecasting and Budgeting)
- Analyze actuals performance and forecasting result to provide insights on the drivers of Investments and Productivity change; provide necessary input into Expense Walks, Risks and Opportunities
- Standardize Investment and Productivity Reporting Capabilities and Tools, help drive related content in management reviews with CGW CEO and CFO
- Support development, syndication and monitoring of expenses and headcount targets and initiatives
- Identification of expenses risks and opportunities by developing solid relationships with PBWM Sector and Function teams
- Deliver forward-looking, product agnostic analysis on total CGW Expenses to influence senior management to manage, contain and reduce expenses, and drive efficiencies
- Collaborate with business and function managers to identify significant opportunities cost optimization;
- Assist in developing compelling executive presentations that recommend and persuade specific courses of action for decision makers.
**Requirements**:

- Formulate hypotheses and identify actionable insights that challenge the status quo
- Versed in a range of problem solving approaches and capable of optimizing techniques to yield the best results
- Communication & Reporting:

- Excellent communications skills (written / verbal) at all organizational levels
- Professional presentations skills - able to provide strategic and analytical direction to teams and articulate and summarize content and insights into 'consulting-like' presentations for senior management
- Results / task orientated with excellent attention to detail / high level of accuracy
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excelling MS Office skills including Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Team engagement and stakeholder management:

- Builds relationships with and influence colleagues & stakeholders on path forward
- Project management:

- Structure and execute own workstream & deliverables
- Anticipate issues and put in place mitigation strategies; see dependencies and connectivity across workstreams

**Qualifications**
- 10 - 12 Years of work experience, at least 4 in FP&A
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to deliver analyses in a concise and logical manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Power Point; other analysis and visualization tools a plus
- Understanding of Banking & Finance products and markets
- Prior experience in management consulting, financial services or business strategy a plus
- Advanced English
