Job Purpose:
If you are a person that has a desire to learn, have intellectual curiosity and good knowledge in compliance, internal audit, banking, and finance, this is an excellent opportunity to join the Global FP&A Risk & Control team based in Costa Rica and get exposure to working in global programs.
The Financial Planning and Analysis Risk & Control Group Manager is a senior professional role responsible of leading a team and providing senior management with an analysis and insight on Risk & Control related topics in coordination with the broader Finance team.
In addition, you will contribute to build the strategy as well as utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to provide advice/counsel on the evaluation of policy adherence, performance, and results.
You'll be responsible of managing and executing projects on different phases: designing, tracking, implementing, executing, etc.
projects at FP&A and/or Finance level ensuring that the R&C framework is adhered, and priorities addressed.
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop effective and efficient operating model with international FP&A R&C teams to smoothly migrate activities into the site
- Excellent analytical support working with local R&C teams and their partners
- Understand in-depth how work is coordinated across areas and how it impacts the overall organization and bank strategies to make judgements and recommendations based on analysis
- Influence decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization
- Ability to transform a vision and objectives into clear actionable projects and results
- Lead risk & control / compliance conversation directly with finance partners & senior management
- Work on Ad-hoc requests based on the business necessity.
Specific activities include:

- Overall management of the multiple high visible risk & control efforts including strong governance / tracking of execution partnering with key stakeholders
- Responsible to achieve CR FP&A budget
- Drive projects to ensure alignment with the strategy.
This will include quickly learning details of multiple business processes.
In addition, the ability to think laterally and flexibly to understand business needs and opportunities as compared to current state and discuss/brainstorm these situations with business and technology partners.
Must be able to break down complex problems, question assumptions and be comfortable making high impact decisions with limited information and some degree of uncertainty.
- Advise on directional strategy and provide guidance on significant risk & control decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and senior management to influence behavior and decision making
- Lead reengineering projects to find productivity and efficiency among the team
- Lead and support improvement programs from different perspectives (VOE, EUC Reductions, etc.)
- Leading the FP&A teams under the umbrella of Global FP&A Risk and Controls on diverse strategic projects and initiatives at a global, regional, or local level.
- Align FP&A R&C with other locations to drive processes at a global level to propose the right placement of resources and activities
- Establish partnership with Mumbai and other locations to develop analytics that drive informed decision making

Full leadership and **supervisory responsibility **of a group of employees and/or manager of managers.
Specific activities include but not limited to:

**Knowledge/ Work Experience Requirements**:

- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Industrial Engineer or a related field with at least 12+ years of relevant experience with more than 4 years of experience in compliance or audit preferably in Financial Services / Banks, with global exposure.
- Post graduate degree is desired
- Understanding of Banking & Finance products and markets is a plus
- Bilingual: English and Spanish.
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint
