Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Create and maintain financial master data to support business processes (included but not limited to: Chart of Accounts for GL Accounts and Cost Elements, Cost Centers and Cost Center standard hierarchy, Profit Centers and Profit Center standard hierarchy, bank keys, foreign exchange rates, and financial statement versions) in accordance with company policy, including approver maintenance for Mylan's Global E-Procurement tool, Legal Contracts Management tool, and invoice approval routing / reconciliation tool.- Support collection of master data, related financial reporting mapping and all related approval mapping to support a variety of systems requirements- Ensure master data is evaluated and created in such a way that processes will function efficiently, effectively and in accordance with company policy.- Manage requests from users for new master data and changes to existing master data.- Track assigned financial master data requests from users and prioritize requests according to set guidelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).- Maintain and update associated training material, process documentation and forms related to collection and maintenance of financial master data.- Implement and maintain effective communications with key internal and external partners.- Maintain effective communications with core FMD virtual team.- Provide master data guidance and training when appropriate.- Solve issues / scenarios and perform data and risk analysis of varying complexity (low, medium and high) following established policies and procedures in order to reach a logical conclusion/solution to a request.- Support and participate in master data maintenance activities related to system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, legal entity consolidations and other various business driven projects.- Support and ensure adherence to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).- Support core FMD virtual team in efforts outside of normal business as usual tasks; namely: integrations, enhancements, and business directives.- Identify process improvement opportunities.- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for this role include:
Knowledge- Awareness of systems and requirements relating to master data processing - forms, approvals, and policy.- Knowledge of chart of accounts and maintenance - account types, normal balances, where and how used.- Knowledge of Hyperion or other financial reporting tools and their master data maintenance activities.- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Excel and Outlook - and related tools.- Awareness of internal controls and mitigations (SOX Compliance).- Awareness of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP).- Experience in the following business areas preferred: Finance, Accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis.
However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.- SAP experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities- Ability to understand multi-dimensional approval matrices and translate to system approval rules.- Ability to interpret and analyze customer requests and make master data recommendations to achieve accurate and policy-aligned execution.- Ability to see the macro and micro view of requests and determine best course for implementation.- Ability to work independently and as a team member.- Ability to communication and interact clearly, effectively, and professionally in English with core FMD virtual team and a diverse group of global users verbally and in written form.- Ability to collect data and perform data and risk analysis to reach a logical conclusion/solution to a request.- Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues related to finance master data.- Ability to rank and prioritize work for timely delivery.- Ability to meet individual and department deadlines with mínimal supervision.- Ability to plan, organize and execute master data maintenance in accordance with established procedures.- Ability to create and manage related process documentation.-
