**Job Description**:
The purpose of the Financial Controller role is ownership and responsibility for the accounting and finance & control processes for a division within Experian, providing expert advice on accounting and governance matters. The Controller for Chile and Costa Rica will be responsible for all aspects of accounting and audit delivery.
This role offers strong commercial exposure, business partnering opportunities, management responsibility, direct exposure to the Divisional FD with the opportunity to leave a lasting impact across the business. This role will report to VP, GFS Costa Rica which has oversight for Chile and Costa Rica as part of North America remit.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure all financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian's accounting policies and IFRS.
- Ownership of local statutory accounting, filings and audit, including local tax compliance and filings that involves coordination with Group Tax.
- Completely own audit relationship including interaction with auditors, delivery of audit report and coordination and resolution of findings.
- Ensure excellent and consistent financial data quality.
- Complete month/year end tasks in line with Experian requirements and close timetable.
- Provide detailed, complete and informative monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ownership of transitioned activities in Treasure, Power of Attorney and Bonus accounting areas
- Oversight and review of the transactions processed and reconciliations by our Shared Service Centre.
- Coordination with local stakeholders, global stakeholders and resolution of any needed alignment to local tax and statutory requirements.
- Coordination across GFS teams for local and statutory requirements (Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Revenue, Accounts Payables and Intercompany).
- Drive adoption of Oracle implementation for Chile Stat purposes aligned to existing initiatives.
- Ensure a strong and effective internal control and governance framework is in place which revenue related financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian's accounting policies and IFRS / local reporting requirements.
- Collaborate and lead on a project related to implementation of an automated statutory system, as well as any process improvements related to audit and ICFR findings.

- A minimum of 5+ years working in a fast-paced Finance Department with relevant in-role work experience.
- Advanced English Level (C1 level is desired).
- A tangible track record of independently improving the efficiency, accuracy and insight provided by finance processes.
- CPA, CIA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- A strong drive to understand the commercial drivers of a business.
- Excellent numeracy and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- High ethical standards.
- Presence, gravitas and ability to influence senior stakeholders in both finance and non-finance roles.
- High confidence and ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with several stakeholders across the finance function.
