The OpportunityThe position functions as a business partner with operations on various financial matters such as budgeting, forecasting, product costing, manufacturing variances analysis and reporting, capital projects and other related financial requests.
The analyst works in the month-end closing activities, consolidates data and prepares presentations as requested.What You'll Do Budget / Forecasting - Active participation in the preparation of the annual manufacturing budget plan; Coordinate the collection of information and analyze and summarize the necessary data for the timely preparation of quarterly forecasts.Product Costing - Support the development of standard product costing, after proper verification of routings, bills of materials and components costs, including review for reasonableness.
Prepare cost estimates as required.Closing/ Reporting – Participates in the month end close process, reviews spending account accuracy and propose accruals as necessary.
Analyze financial results, verify reasonableness and provide management with manufacturing performance reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, including manufacturing variance analyses and appropriate explanations of yields, scrap, rework and other factors.
Analysis of inventory balances.Operational business support - Review and analyze Production Order Variances (POV) and reporting results, support operational managers in the monetary spending overhead analysis and budget control.Fixed assets - Review all capital expenditure requests comply with: proper forms, accounting treatment and necessary back up information; follow up on construction in progress projects to ensure its timely closing and capitalization, and to ensure forecasts and budgets accurately reflect correct assumptions for future depreciation.Participate in New Product Transfers as required supporting budgeting/forecast process, analysis as required.Shift: Admin (Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)On-Site positionRequired Qualifications3 years minimum experience in Accounting, Finance or related field of study (Engineering/Economics), preferably in a manufacturing environment.Advanced Commands of English / RequiredKnowledge of integrated cost accounting systemsProject management desiredPreferably experience in a manufacturing environment in Accounting and/or Finance with knowledge of integrated cost accounting systems and information systems (SAP preferred)
