Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Financial Analyst II. As a key member of the Global Business Services FP&A team, you will play a key role in analyzing finances for internal implementation projects and supporting the Shared Services Centers Enablement function. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in financial analysis and make a valuable contribution to our world-class organization.
- Responsibilities:
- Preparation and presentation of the annual operating plan for the enablement organization.
- Support project management financially by analyzing variances between actuals and projected outcomes.
- Identify risks and opportunities through forecast and actuals analysis.
- Create reports and presentations for different groups of people interested in the project.
- Offer strong decision support to business leadership through the creation of models, presentations, and dashboards.
- Complete and review the month-end close process and post-close reporting cycles.
- Perform entries to distribute allocations to divisions and develop allocation methodologies for new projects.
- Work independently to drive the execution of department goals and problem-solving.
- Offer suggestions for improving systems and processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a relevant field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- 3-5 years of FP&A experience in a Shared Service Center environment.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and technical accounting.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze data and identify patterns.
- Ability to champion productivity improvements and process standardization.
- Proven history of cross-functional collaboration and building organizational relationships.
- Structured approach and ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; skills in Oracle, HFM, and Power BI preferred.
- Excellent English proficiency.
