The Financial Analyst requires strong analytical skills and practical application of finance knowledge, areas of support include reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and capital justification.
The candidate will have a keen understanding of general ledger transactions and cost accounting.
Monthly accruals, variance analysis, period closing process, and extensive support of operations with ad hoc analysis are required.
This position will work directly with the Finance Director and will assist with her/his responsibilities, including special projects.
The person in this position sets and acts upon priority requirements with minimal supervision.For internal candidates only: P3What will you be doing?Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; and identifying trends.Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimizationPerform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with budget and forecast.Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analysesIdentifying and driving process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboardsWork closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision supportAnalyze financial data – and create financial models for decision supportCapable of performing complex cost reconciliations and data validationReceives specific assignments and directives from the Finance Director and determines how to better manage his/her resources to meet schedules and goals.
Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect the immediate organization.What will you need to be successful?
Education: At least three years completed in University.Desired Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or FinanceCPA and / or MBA is a plusExperience: Minimum, 5 years' experience in Financial Analysis in Multinational companies.
Knowledge of cost accounting analysis and experience in manufacturing environments is a plus.Bilingual English-SpanishAdvanced proficiency with computer spreadsheet and database software in Windows environment –Excel, word, PowerPoint.Thorough understanding of SAP or equivalent fully integrated manufacturing software systemExcellent oral and written communication skills, analytic skills, and math skills; ability to explain financial information to a non-financial audience.Desirable knowledgeKnowledge of Free Trade Zone systems and regulations.Knowledge of both GAAP and Stat accounting standardsSOX and IFRS knowledgeCompetencieStrong interpersonal and effective communication skills; ability to work with individuals at all levelsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and grasp concepts quickly.Highly analytical.You.
