The Finance Reporting Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the generation, tracking and submission of financial reports in coordination with the Finance Team. The overall objective of this role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with local regulatory guidelines.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
- Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
- Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events
- Produce metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures
- Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects
- Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions
- Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
- Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
- Ability to work with multiple functions
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

**Department Description**
Charge Outs Reporting & Analytics is an analytical workstream supporting the EIO&T Charge Outs business. It is part of the Assurance organization in FRSS / Citi Shared Services Costa Rica.
What is Charge Outs? The settlement/transactions resulting from the intercompany process between internal service providers and customers requiring goods or services to operate effectively and efficiently.
What does EO&T NAM Charge Outs do? The professional works as an extension of EO&T Controllers in NY, and act as NAM service providers for the following Operations and Technology segments: Citi Realty Services, Citi Shared Services, Global Functions Technology, Resource Management Operations and Executive Services. CORA analysts manage the end to end charge outs responsibilities for these segments and have a global oversight to ensure actuals are aligned to expectations. In addition, analysts support FP&A in the creation of the Charge Outs Plan and additional windows such as: Mid-Year Forecast, Outlook and Functionals. These functions are supported by Finance teams globally.
**Key Responsibilities**
Perform the service provider end to end role for the managed segments in scope, including but not limited to:
- Generate monthly billing files i.e., internal allocations to Citi customers. Ensure successful processing of the monthly billing cycle in the Allocations Processing System (APS).
- Address billing rejects, APS maintenances and validations timely.
- Prepare Management Adjustment entries resulting from preliminary and month-end reviews (if required).
- Maintain an updated APS Forecast scenario based on the latest changes made to Plan.
- Validate monthly data through frequent system reconciliations, drill down analysis and other controls.
- Assist FP&A with the preparation of the annual Charge Outs Plan process for the segments under FRSS CR scope. Charge-outs methodologies to be applied to the expense Plan baseline created by FP&A.
- Provide support during additional forward-looking requirements such as: Mid-Year Forecast, Outlook and Functional windows.
- Understand customer needs and ensure proper charge-out of business expenses while maintaining a net expense close to zero.
- Be the liaison with FP&A to understand the business drivers of the expenses that will be charged out, which is key to build and provide financial analytical insights.
- Perform ad hoc analysis at managed segment, managed geography, legal vehicle, business unit, among others.
- Strong interaction with NAM and Regional Controllers, FP&A, Business and CORA colleagues.
- Identify process improvement needs within own role and CORA team to simplify, improve data quality, and drive re-engineering efforts to make processes more efficient
