Job Function Summary
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for making sure that Coloplast CAR buildings and their services meet the needs of the people that work at Coloplast. Facilities Engineer is accountable for services such as building maintenance, critical process as clean rooms maintenance and environmental conditions and purified water system, to make sure the environment is in a suitable condition to run production. Also, attend any building, utilities and facilities systems maintenance needed to maintain the working environment.
Major Areas of Accountability
Maintenance
Ensuring that all electromechanical systems under responsibility of Facilities and EHS department (FEHS) can run continuously and according to Coloplast and local standards
Development of a maintenance plan
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for the FEHS electromechanical systems, these systems include but not limited to fire suppression system, compressed air, chilled water, purified water, HVAC, hot water, vacuum, heat and air extraction, waste disposal, kitchen, purified water, chemical handling and Atex systems.
Prevention and repair of emerging building problems
Inspecting buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
Track and supervise the BMS system of the plant
Fulfilment of work orders
Tracking leading and lacking indicators for FEHS department
Planning and monitoring maintenance cost
Energy management and continuous improvement of efficiency
Keep operational documentation up to date and valid.
Participation in projects and/or Project management
Management of the facilities critical systems
Management support
Provide support to the FEHS Manager on the cleaning, waste disposal, catering, security, parking and related activities of Coloplast CAR's buildings.
Supervising contractors including cleaning and maintenance.
Attend visitors or suppliers that need access to the site to provide services.
Quote services or goods necessary for the good maintenance/operation of the facility.
Check quality of work delivered by contractors
Align daily operational tasks with peers and other departments
Perform any task assigned by FEHS manager related to the activities of the company
Provide improvement ideas and suggestions for savings
Achieving indicators defined by management
Safety
Review and fulfil any regulatory or EHS documentation needed for the daily work.
Supervise safe execution of activities performed by contractors and ensure proper work permits are completed, approved, executed, closed, and archived.
Ensure to comply with and be responsible for enforcing work safety, and Coloplast values at all times.
Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given
Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines
Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system
Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electromechanical, electrical engineering or related qualification.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in roles that include building maintenance
Oriented to customer service and proactive (highly desired)
Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints
Knowledge on Cleanroom operation
Special works safety permits experience
**English level**: C1

Ability to manage a varied and complex workload
Problem-solving
Predictive maintenance knowledge (desirable)
The ability to lead technical teams
Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
Communication and negotiation skills (required)
Project management knowledge
Good organizational and time-management skills
Basic knowledge of MS Office
