**This position can be located in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic or Guatemala.
We are looking for an External Affairs and Sustainability Lead for our Cluster in Central America and Caribbean.
Main Accountabilities:
- Responsible and management for the Regulatory Affairs Coordination (licenses, fees, packs approvals) for our Market in Central America and Caribbean (CARICAM).
- Formulate, develop and manage overall sustainability strategy for the Cluster of CARICAM, in line with the company's global sustainability objectives.
Deployment and implementation of Sustainability strategies including project evaluation and selection, financial and impact reporting, and other governance/administrative functions.
- Internal and external communications strategy to build awareness with employee engagement framework to drive adoption of Sustainability principles at the business.
- Engage and support the External Affairs Managers in advocacy engagements with, but not limited to, political, bureaucratic and industry stakeholders, and other relevant opinion leaders to build allies/coalitions.
- Support the education of internal stakeholders on the regulatory/business environment and the science behind PMI.
Provide support to regulatory affairs initiatives by regularly updating the tobacco industry and tobacco control regulatory dossier, sustainability and environmental regulations, and best practices on anti-illicit trade regulatory issues, as well as PMI views and positions in support of comprehensive regulatory approach to tobacco control focused on harm reduction for key stakeholders.
- Provide support to External Affairs Managers on current and emerging tobacco issues and evolving societal expectations to increase understanding of how these issues arise from the overall business strategy to develop appropriate business strategies for long-term growth.
Who we're looking for
- Bachelors Degree in International Relations, Law, Communications, Public Affairs or any other related field
- 5+ years with experience in Sustainability, Government/Business association/Large National or Multinational FMCG company working in corporate affairs or similar function.
- 3+ years experience designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale initiatives mainly in projects
- Be able to work cross-functionally and build relationships inside and outside of the organization
- Strong communication and presentation skills using various tools to deliver messages - Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.
- Advanced English Level.
