Evaluated Pricing Operations
The Fixed Income Evaluator (the evaluator) in Refinitiv's Evaluated Pricing Operations is responsible for fixed income and derivative evaluation support and customer service.
Refinitiv's Evaluated Pricing Service (REPS) provides evaluated pricing on over 2.7 million fixed-income instruments and derivatives per day which are used by asset managers, custodian banks, investment banks, and third-party vendors.
Day-to-day responsibilities include pricing production activities and query case management.
Pricing production involves the assessment and validation of market color, creation and maintenance of money market and credit default swap curves (CDS), client file creation, mortgage-backed benchmark pricing, and new issuance research.
The evaluator will also research all queries submitted by customers including coverage and quality requests.
The evaluator will have prior experience in fixed-income evaluation.
A strong passion for capital markets and an understanding of bond mathematics are key for the role.
**Responsibilities**:
Judgmental
- Assess and validate market color to be used in determining fair market value (trades, quotes, contributions)
- Determine the right pricing method for a portfolio of complex bonds based on its characteristics
- Drive methodology/automation enhancement to improve coverage and pricing accuracy
- Collaborate and contribute on ad-hoc projects
- Document work procedures and methodology enhancements
Pricing Production
- Determine the fair value for fixed income and derivatives securities using our proprietary tools and methodologies
- Meet the deadlines of the production schedule
- Comply with our controls and procedures
- Research new issues to determine its fair value
- Train new team members
Customer Service
- Lead or assist the asset class leader in due diligence meetings
- Handle pre-sales requests relating to the pricing of sovereign, corporate, asset-backed, and municipal fixed-income securities
- Query case management of individual client price challenges and coverage requests
- Deliver solutions to improve the customer experience
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Finance
- 3 years of relevant experience (i.e.
fixed income pricing) experience and 5 years of total experience
- Pick up coverage with little-to-zero guidance
- Excellent communication, writing, and training skills
- Customer service experience
- The ability to work with large amounts of data in spreadsheets
- Fluent in English
- Passion for capital markets
