Duties will also include expanding and maintaining a vendor database, creating and automating reports, measuring and improving upon contract related processing and creating a contract templates library to enhance standard terms for effective SLAs or vendor KPIs.Responsibilities of the role include:Contracts Management:- Own the contracting process, creates documentation, gather approvals, ensure audit completion, track status and communicate between stakeholders- Draft work orders in partnership with Joining Amazon program managers- Draft key commercial contract terms within Amazon standard templates- Negotiate clauses and commercial terms with vendors- Support the Joining Amazon program managers during the vendor onboarding and contract negotiation- Coordinate between Amazon teams while reviewing contract terms- Proactively identify and implement operational improvements and enhancements that meet business requirements- Participate in continuous process improvement projects such as creating and maintaining standard operating proceduresVendor Database Management:- Update database with new/expanding/deprecating vendors- Understand and be able to use reporting tools to keep the organization of vendors and contracts- Contribute to the portfolio of reports that provide monitoring and aging of contract library- Train new users to keep data maintained in the contracts databaseA day in the lifeYou start the week prioritizing the contracts you need to work on. The PMs depend on you to meet the project launch date. On any day, the contract manager role is juggling 20 contracts which have to be reviewed by multiple teams, such as legal, risk, compliance, tax, finance and the business. Then you have meetings with vendors to get them to agree to the terms. The overall spend, exceptions and the final contract have to go through internal approvals before signature and each contract has to be followed until it is executed. Then you move onto a new launch.About the teamWe are a small team of 5 supporting the Joining Amazon (JA) team; this team are our customers. JA is comprised of 4 main shard service teams that service Amazon business lines (eg Consumer, Operations, and other legal entities like Twitch, Audible, Ring, etc., also our customers). We are in growth mode supporting the expansion of the Medical check program and our team mission is make the vendor onboarding as frustration free for our program managers as we can.Preferred Qualifications- Additional education beyond a four year university degree is strongly preferred- Experience working in/with a legal team
