**About the Role**:
Supplier Engineer II in the Materials Supplier Engineering Team: This position involves all aspects of supplier selection, supplier process & material changes and technical support for purchased commodities in BSC.
The Supplier Engineering Team is responsible for the technical leadership within the supply chain, achieving year-on-year material cost reduction targets and supplier process optimization.
**You're Responsibilities Include**:
- Deliver the following key deliverables: Material qualification, statistical studies and capability analysis, Acceptance Activities Contracts, SCIAs, eCMAs, VIPs.
- Manage Project plans and Timelines, prioritize and manage multiple critical projects to resolve supply constraints to support production lines.
- Proactively identify and drive Value Improvement Projects(VIP's) with suppliers at all Tiers in the supply chain.
- Partners with cross functional teams
- R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, and external vendors to develop standard and custom devices used in Boston Scientific products.
- Works with suppliers around the globe to define and understand their manufacturing processes, tools, equipment, on going controls and acts as technical expert to ensure repeatable and reproducible quality/reliability during the life of the product.
Drive process improvement/optimization initiatives.
- Supports investigation of Material Quality issues as they arise: works with Quality, Procurement & Business Units to resolve issues related to materials/suppliers and validate corrective and preventive actions.
- Contributes to the development, maintenance and improvement of Supplier Management Policies and Procedures.
- Interface effectively with all internal & external key stakeholders: works with Procurement, Supplier Quality Engineering, Receiving Inspection & Business Units.
- Identifies Design Outputs, control mechanisms, and completes Material Qualification.
- Develop and execute department budgets -project spend and capital planning/control.
**What We're Looking For**:
- Licenciature or Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Electrical Industrial.
- Medical Device Experience Preferred.
- English level: above 85%.
- Previous experience Supplier Engineering/Materials, Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing background.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and work with cross functional organizations to solve problems.
- Project management, Problem Solving, Process Improvement, Regulatory industry management, Networking, Process Validations.
- Tools :Statistics, Technical Manuals, Kaizen, Six Sigma // Desired but not required: Plastic, Resins, Chemicals and/or Coatings experience and knowledge.
- 2 year or more in current position
- Annual Performance evaluation rating "Meets Expectations" or "Exceeds Expectations"
- At least 1 years of experience in similar position
