**D**evelops packaging, products, materials, processes, or equipment for projects of moderate complexity for sustaining and new product development. Under limited supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed products and also to improve on packaging and specifications for existing products.

Responsible for the coordination and creation of packaging design and development projects. Acts as the supporting function for review and approval of packaging content. Works to assure all packaging deliverables are correct and follow applicable regulatory, quality, and business requirements.

**Your responsibilities include**:

- Fully participates and successfully contributes to project teams through the completion of packaging tasks.
- Works independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines.
- Works cooperatively with various BSC departments, divisions, and suppliers, to ensure an improved, practical, and consistent approach to packaging.
- Designs and coordinates standard engineering tests and experiments for existing product/packaging design improvements and, as applicable, new product/packaging development.
- Completes packaging tests and experiments for existing product/packaging design improvements and, as applicable, new product/packaging development.
- Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from test results.
- Generates and reviews packaging-related documentation, including specifications, test plans, reports, and other documents.
- Performs troubleshooting on new problems as related to design, material, or process.
- As applicable, provides work direction to technicians and other employees on packaging processes or test procedures.
- Serves as a resource in the orientation and training of new engineers and employees.
- May lead a project team of small to moderate scope through the definition of goals and objectives, project planning, execution of activities, and project follow-up.
- Keeps abreast of new packaging related standards and regulatory requirements, as well as new technologies and advances in medical device packaging industry.
- Coordinates and creates packaging components for Sustaining in accordance with regulatory, quality, and business requirements. As applicable, coordinates and creates packaging components for new product/packaging development.
- Performs Change Notice activities for the review, approval and release of packaging components and related documentation.
- Creates and enhances packaging components based on preexisting formats and design.
- Communicates with outside vendors regarding packaging components and proofing.
- Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and submits idea records.

**What we are looking for**:

- Bach or Licentiate Degree: Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Maintenance) or related field.
- Preferred English level: B2+80%
- 2+ years' experience in the functional area
