Job Summary:
As a Solutions Architect, you will enable and mentor our field and partner customer-facing engineers and architects on current and next-generation solutions at the enterprise level. Our customer-facing teams' confidence, technical success, and overall effectiveness will depend on this individual's efforts combined with the larger team.
Our Solutions Architects determine ways to solve real business challenges and take that information to our audience. With input received directly from engineering and our stakeholders you will be part of a global, dynamic team that develops and delivers content in a variety of traditional and cutting-edge modalities: PowerPoint, video, virtual trainer, and hands-on labs. **Responsibilities**:
- Provide in-person and virtual enablement on current and emerging solutions and services offerings for field and partner organizations
- Develop solution labs and toolkits, best practices & architectural references for developing and deploying VMware solutions - building product integrations to aid solution demonstration and selling
- Develop and maintain technical/business expertise on industry directions and trends
- Actively Participate in our Livefire Alumni Community
- Ability to work across time zones, outside of normal working hours on occasion
**Requirements**:
- CCNP required, CCIE preferred
- VCP-DCV preferred
- Background in curriculum development or technical training helpful
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience desired
- Demonstrated ability to capture, develop, and share knowledge with the community
- Minimum of 5 years in a Systems Engineer or Consulting role, with extensive experience in our company's products, solutions & services.
- 2+ years of that experience working directly with customers to design, develop, and support networking and security infrastructure.
- Hands on experience with public cloud technologies including VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure, and Google Compute Platform
- Experience with developing custom integrations between disparate systems using APIs
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- Solid proficiency with the English language as you would work with an international team. We're looking at a C1 level at least.
