As Director Finance, you will lead the Americas Baxter Business Services (BBS) for Finance.
The center is instrumental to areas such as Finance (finance operations, accounting, FP&A) and other hosted functions (commercial operations, procurement, and other demand incoming).
The culture and engagement of the center staff over 250 colleagues is our focal point as we develop BBS globally.
This is highly visible role reporting to Senior Director, Finance Operations with direct management responsibility for C2C and P2P delivery teams and service management, continuous improvement services to all other functions based in the center.
**What will you be doing**:

- Provide leadership to Center staff, including recruiting of Managers, career development and management processes
- Maintain a high-performance operating culture throughout the Center
- Ensure high compliance environment
- Overall accountability for end-to end C2C activities: credit analysis, collection of payments from customers across Americas, billing (& customer data management TBC)
- Direct responsibility for an Accounts Payable team covering Americas, focusing on supplier contact
- Develop, design, recruit the transformed Shared Service organization
- Define and/or support process-specific operating model strategies in close alignment with Global C2C and P2P service delivery model and process design strategies
- Lead Service Management for the Center: critical metrics, SLAs, infrastructure services Supervise performance and recommend/prioritize improvements aimed at improving performance
- Responsible for utilization attainment and improving professional service profitability through accurate forecasting and effective management of the team.
- Anticipate needs, assess and lead business risk taking; raise issues that may impact their process globally; lead through times of crisis and ambiguity
- Act as a key collaborator to nurture a business-oriented culture; continuously supervise, maintain close relationships with customer/partner groups that ensure a responsiveness to their needs and critical issue to resolution of internal performance problems.
- Lead supply of support services to demand (including load balancing across functions and capacity adjustments due to new business and closure of existing businesses)
- Embedding a strong focus on cost reduction, service excellence and continuous improvement for all of the services delivered by their organization using benchmarks and standard methodology comparisons
- Inspire change & continuous improvement in the Shared Services team, including standardization of processes & practices across business units, development of an effective performance culture & implementation systems
- Establish program priorities that yield maximum benefits or process improvements and supervise the timely implementation of those
- Support change, risk and communications management around the improvement projects underway and planned
- Advocate for automation and technology improvements and partner with IT to implement or improve existing technologies for additional productivity improvement
