**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

- Within 30 days, you will need to:
- Have a solid understanding of VMW, CDTO, and DMT's priorities for the remainder of FY'23.
- Describe how DMT Operations will support DMT's FY'23/FY'24 Objectives
- Connect with key business partners to understand the current initiatives and projects, especially focusing on system changes and onboarding plans.
- Participate in prioritization session(s) to provide business focused impact analysis of requirements backlogs
- Connect with direct reports to understand current workloads and objectives
- Within 90 days, you will need to:
- Create materials & represent DMT regarding progress project and system roadmaps
- Attend meetings, take, and close actions on behalf of DMT Global Operations, Sr. Director on project, program, and initiative development
- Build effective partnerships needed to execute on our transformation
- Establish process to track all open system issues and project updates at an executive level
- Lead DMT Operations team with clear vision, priorities, and agile execution across all projects
- Review direct reports Individual Development Plans and progress on goals
- Within 180 days of employment, you will:
- Drive innovative ideas to shape transformation initiatives; show data to prioritize and resources required to execute
- Implement methodology for continued project assessment and prioritization on DMT objectives
- Rationalize resources needed to support transformation projects & outcomes
**The Work: What type of work will you be doing?
What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
**
- Operate in a chief-of-staff capacity to the DMT Global Operations, Sr. Director.
Represent the DMT vision in leadership forums and within the DMT to ensure alignment in our evolution, prioritization, and execution.
- Owner of the DMT prioritization for user stories and system capabilities
- Significant partner and voice in system automation to scale the business for user stories generated from other parts of the business to drive the right activities at the right times
- CDTO main contact for any system related questions, escalations, and approvals needed from DMT
- Critical escalation point to work through issues with any system DMT uses to execute, problem solving issues, and communicating to the team to navigate effectively
- Responsible for managing DMT UAT testing
- Communicating the roadmap and vision to DMT so they understand the automation roadmap and journey
- Quantify and communicate the impact of the system implementations generated by DMT to key stakeholders and DMT leadership
- Partner with executive team members to determine and prioritize systems approach to drive deal velocity and risk reduction
- Determining key performance indicators and how to measure performance regarding DMT-led initiatives.
- Lead the team in tracking performance against DMT and DMT Operations OKRs.
- Create presentations for key meetings and discussions to represent DMT systems and process roadmaps
- Manage direct reports which will be the key DMT drivers in all DMT impacting projects
- Identifying opportunities for efficiencies in the Q2C systems & gain support for highest priority opportunities.
- Build effective relationships with key leaders in operations and business groups.
- Maintain the team synergy across not just DMT System Operations but across the Global Operations teams and DMT Core Leadership and users.

The Hiring Manager for this role is Deb Fortin, the Sr. Director of Deal Management, Global Operations, who leads the team from Florida.
She has been with VMWare for 3+ years, with over 30 years in the high-tech industry.
One primary focus has been creating a CPQ tool that lends itself to strong deal velocity and an optimized user experience as well as building a strong operational team to support DMT's operational needs.
She believes that people are our biggest asset and encourages the team to have a curious mind which drives both personal and professional growth.
We support and partner with the Global DMT which has primary locations in the US, Costa Rica, Ireland, India, and Singapore and has almost three hundred team members.
The members of the Global Operations teams are primarily located in US, Bangalore, India and Cork, Ireland.
The team is fun, energetic, diverse, and is highly collaborative to drive individual and group success.
