Coordinate Missions Organize up to twelve missions per year Establish/maintain working relationships with in-country medical and governmental counterparts, and global training and supply collaborators. Assemble volunteer medical teams (ranging from 2 to 20 people) and travel with them on the mission, as needed. Travel within central, south, and north America required. Manage the overall operation and budget, scheduling and local coordination of all medical and training missions, including medical and other equipment inventory control and travel logistics Manage Operations Maintain a system of organized, accessible metrics on the missions; record medical events, stories, capture feedback and areas for future improvement Oversee all operations (administrative, financial, accounting, programs, personnel) and ensure adherence to the organization's legal, fiscal and reporting obligations Periodically assess whole operation, identifying areas of improvement Recruit and manage volunteers and interns for the organization Arrange board meetings, participate in the executive committee meetings, and communicate regularly with board members Support with event planning Lead communications Be a spokesperson for the organization, create visibility and network to connect with potential volunteers, donors and sponsors Develop printed and video materials: coordinate writing of mission reports by team leaders, send reports to key donors, add quality content and maintain the website. Strengthen the organization's social media presence across platforms (website, Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , LinkedIn ) Manage and support SOH outreach initiatives to recruit new board members and Ambassadors. Handle onboarding of new SOH board members and ambassadors Recruit and manage volunteers to support in this effort
