**Job Purpose**:
The Design Sales Engineer II (DSE II) role focuses on the pre-sales design of technology solutions in support of our partners and sales teams. The DSE II will develop technology solutions which meet end-user business requirements. The DSE II will collaborate with coworkers and partners, providing pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities. In addition, the DSE II will enable reseller partners through delivering technology roadmap presentations and technical product and offer training. The DSE II will possess strong technical skills, including holding technical certifications, and be able to explain the value of recommended solutions through strong presentation skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- Educates resellers and coworkers on current technology, including the delivery of technology roadmap presentations
- Provides consultative advice to partners on scoping and designing complex solutions by communicating clearly, concisely with the partner and their end user.
- Designs complex single and multi-vendor solutions and/or configurations which meet customer requirements, recognizing customers' business needs and translating them into technology.
- Participates in Marketing Events for our reseller and vendor partners as well as sales
- Collaborates and partners with business development, product management, and sales teams on the design and sale of individual, specific
- Assists presales team members with technical product demonstrations for resellers and their end-users
- Stays current on relevant competitive solutions, products, ecosystem solutions and services through attending training and achieving vendor and industry certifications.
- Develops key relationships with vendor and reseller partners' engineering and sales teams

- Technical Certifications with multiple vendors as well as industry certificationsAble to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
