In any given workday, you will be given the responsibility to innovate and create an impact on our business.This position will be based in Costa Rica.As a Design Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:- Be a consultant for any construction Project.- Provide project leadership for technical engineering and design execution.- Assemble a team of engineering specialists and assess the feasibility of new projects.- Lead the development of a more detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers. Work with the project AE (Architect and Engineering Firm) partners to level the workload in a way that maximizes efficiency and predictability and meets our internal customer needs.- Detailed design and construction performed by our world-class supply chain partners.- Serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution and act as the primary escalation point for our design suppliers, internal factory customers and trade contractors.- Lead Engineer who defines design criteria, lead scope definition, and justification and develop design concepts.- Oversee the completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design.- Work with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met.- Help build initial cost forecasts and help ensure project cost adherence through implementation and execution of the change control process to improve standards and drive innovative solutions.- Build and drive safety Culture of Caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution.- Fluently bi-lingual (Spanish/English) communication skills.- Excellent communication of technical topics and strong presentation skills.- Willing to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of partners, customers, employees, and management.- Highly team and quality-oriented.- Willing to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines, organizations, and geographic boundaries.- Champion and value the safety Culture of Caring throughout the project lifecycle.**Qualifications**:** Minimum Qualifications**:You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position,- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field.- 4+ years of experience in Project management in design or construction.- Advanced English level.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Master's degree in an Engineering related field with 3+ years of experience in project management in design or construction.Experience in Technical writing.- Experience in industrial, semiconductor, high-tech, and cleanroom projects.- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction contract documents.**Inside this Business Group**:As the world's largest chip manufacturer, Intel strives to make every facet of semiconductor manufacturing state-of-the-art - from semiconductor process development and manufacturing, through yield improvement to packaging, final test and optimization, and world class Supply Chain and facilities support.
