**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:
As a Design Manager on the Design Studios team, you will be a creative thought leader with an excellent design background who will lead, guide, mentor and empower a team of designers in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. You will work with our consulting teams, lead and supervise design projects end-to-end by driving complex and ambiguous briefs with mínimal direction by translating business language and processes into creative ideas, concepts and engaging stories to achieve their vision and to leverage storytelling in compliance with BCG standards.
You'll lead and develop creative briefs that bring together the business challenges, build timelines, ensure all deadlines are met, connect with clients, and have the ability to conceptualize and ideate creative solutions, support all design decisions with creative, strategic and/or business reasoning, present creative concepts and discuss ideas to internal clients. Leading and coordinating on multiple visual projects at one time, you'll drive the execution of projects ensuring clients are satisfied with the quality of final result.
As a Design Manager you will be guiding Designer Generalists in the team from associate to senior level, providing guidance, direction, training and support throughout their career development. You also have very strong communication skills, including regular conversations with the team, providing feedback, responding to team needs, and being able to motivate the team to achieve goals.
**YOU'RE GOOD AT**:
Building partnerships with key stakeholders, driving complex design projects to completion.- Maintaining knowledge of varied creative verticals like Video, Digital, Content and Creative Strategy.- Leading, guiding, and mentoring a team of designers, providing innovative thinking while developing and implementing training concepts.- Balancing team expectations with an open and flexible mentality.- Leading multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring high quality results with a customer service focus.- Strong experience in developing PPT Macros and customized client templates, excellent knowledge working with EfficientElements and ThinkCell- Making conceptual decisions, creating layouts, mock-ups and prototypes to illustrate designs/experiences/ ideas.
**YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field (or equivalent job education)
- 6+ years of experience in a Professional services environment, 1-2 years minimum as a team lead.
- Excellent knowledge MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Macros), EfficientElements and ThinkCell, Maps and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.) as a plus
- Expert knowledge of visual design and visual theory (i.e. composition, color theory, typography, etc.)
- Good communication skills with senior stakeholders, i.e. Partners
- Outstanding team skills, demonstrated effective and compassionate team leadership experience
- Advance people skills for leading teams, helping others as a mentor in their career development
- A strong portfolio
