TE Connectivity's Logistics Demand Management Teams develop, integrate and provide short-term accounts or brand specific forecasts for internal operations which include replenishment data, customer data, sales promotion information, marketing plans and new distribution/product deletions. They are responsible for facilitating, managing and executing strategic directions related to plant performance, customer demand agreements, supply chain improvements, revenue forecasting and overall improvement in delivery metrics globally. They assist in the improvement of demand system forecasting accuracy for customers. The Demand Management Teams maintain and manage product history, forecasts and promotional demand. They analyze internal demand stream information, and categorizes according to demand patterns. They also may input sales/marketing intelligence for use in forecast systems, working with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, and related forecasting and planning groups.
**About the position**:
The demand planning lead for metals will report to the Sr Manager, Global Supply Chain
- Metals. Focus will be on leading end to end global demand planning for the Metals PBU and support the SIOP transformation journey in a monthly best-in-class SIOP process that profitably grows the business. Lead improvement on forecast inputs to accelerate revenue opportunities, optimize inventory, and ultimately deliver exceptional customer experience to all stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing an unconstrained demand plan which ensures the highest level of operations and customer satisfaction with control over costs and resources.
**Responsibilities**.
- Facilitate monthly consensus discussions between Sales, Product Management and Operations
- Model the long-term demand of MEDG Metals products over a period of 3 to 24 months utilizing analytical, marketing and sales data
- Communicate forecasted demand change impacts to operations and supply chain
- Maintain best fit statistical forecasting for a portfolio of products
- Ad-Hoc analysis on large datasets for meaningful business insights
- Manage improvements on demand KPIs(forecast accuracy/bias) working closely with Commercial teams on actions
- Drive innovation and power to change.
- Exercise authority to leverage industry best practices and TEOA continuous improvements to continually enhance the demand planning data and processes.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years' experience in demand management, supply chain, or sales operations
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and consensus skills
- Understanding of statistical forecasting methods and terminology
- High level Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to excel in a global team
- Understanding of basic MRP - preferably SAP
- Preference for experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
- Strong computer skills in MS Office.
