As a member of the Publication Operations team, the Data Specialist will be responsible for taking business information from hundreds of millions of companies through our data pipeline using existing ETL processes.
- Manage the quality of data elements from ingestion to publication
- Work with local information providers to develop knowledge on the availability and publication of local business information for company specific data items
- Define and implement procedures for transforming and publishing data originating from potentially multiple sources globally.
- Improve existing processes and procedures to enhance the speed and accuracy of our updates
- Monitor data quality metrics and perform quality checks, report anomalies and work with technology teams to resolve
- Provide and update documentation regarding collection methods, internal procedures, definitions and meta data
- Support clients and internal stakeholders with data-related requests.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science or related major, Master's degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of professional Data Operations experience
- Understand all aspects of ETL processes
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills which bring clarity and precision to help management understand and visualize complex material to support organizational decision-making
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues, processes, and requirements regarding managing large data sets
- Willing to learn new technologies, capable of self-directed learning.
- Experience writing SQL and/or Python queries
