Experian Business Information Service's (BIS) Commercial Relations team's primary charter is to handle inbound inquiries from business owners requesting reviews of various elements of their U.S. business credit file, to perform investigations and file updates based on the outcome of the investigation and to provide timely communications back to the business owner.
The Commercial Relations team reports to the VP of Information Management and Data Strategy who holds responsibility for all aspects of the BIS commercial data strategy including quality improvement projects, policies, maintenance activities, metrics and reporting. Individuals filling the role of Data Management Analyst I report to the Data Amendments Data Development Supervisor.
This position is responsible for data maintenance activities associated with BIS's Commercial Relations function. This includes online company research, data verification and direct data entry, generally resulting from dispute submitted by business owners.
**Responsibilities**:
- Take inbound phone calls (generally business owners disputing information on their business credit report)
- Research and resolve disputes
- Manual data updates via data maintenance tool
- Maintains data file quality and currency
- Analyzes new data for accuracy and compliance
- Gathering data for tracking business disputes
- Communicate interim status and final disposition of disputes to the requestor
- Maintain a log of open and closed disputes
- Assist with internal research requests and report updates
- Assisting in the preparation of documentation needed by the legal department as required
- Educating businesses on the dispute resolution process and the information on their business credit report
- Responsible for other tasks as assigned, follow ups, etc.
**Qualifications**:
**What your background looks like**
- High School Diploma and/or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related fields
- Excellent English written and oral communications skills (B2+, C1 level)
- 3+ years of related work experience: data entry, dispute management roles
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Advanced organizational skills
- Strong PC/internet skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Proven previous job stability, including maintaining long-term work relationships with former employers
- Must be able to clear the company's pre-employment screening
