**Data **and Analytics Engineer (Hybrid)**
**Heredia, Costa Rica**
SGF Global is looking for a Data and Analytics Engineer, for IT enterprise in Heredia, Costa Rica.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Confirmed skills of enabling data content for reporting or analytics solutions
- Experience in Power BI to built complex solutions including data transformation, data modeling, and data visualizations
- Experience with data visualization best practices and design principles
- Experience in SQL (Structured Query Language) queries to build medium to complex queries
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Knowledge in Power BI, specific on Semantic Models and Dataflow services (preferred)
- Experience and/or interest in chemistry, the specialty chemical industry and the replacement of petroleum products with sustainable solutions (preferred)
- Experience in Data Management and/or Data Governance to maintaining / improve a Data Catalog (preferred)
- Confirmed skills in querying relational databases with query language (preferred)
- Confirmed experience working with large data stores (preferred)
- Knowledge of data integration tools and methodologies (preferred)
- Experience with cloud-based business intelligence solutions (preferred)
- Understanding of business processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) (preferred)
- Familiarity with scripting languages for data manipulation (e.g., Python, R) (preferred)
- Partner with the team to develop detailed understanding of the business and offer guidance on technical solutions to solve business problems.
- Prepare data to meet specific reporting and analytics needs.
- Makes sense of complex, high-quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
- Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.

**Responsabilities**:
- Design and implement internal process improvements, optimize data delivery and create scalable data sets.
- Build existing data assets and prepare data to meet specific reporting and analytics needs.
- Build data solutions to enable automated and self service data consumption.
- Model, design, develop, test and implement complex backend and front end structures to meet business visualization, reporting and analytics requirements.
- Evaluate the performance of processes, services and outcomes and recommend performance improvement.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements
- Independently handle complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
