Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a Technical Support Professional to join the IBM Data & AI Support team. This team of highly skilled and motivated individuals provides technical support to IBM clients. Understanding, narrowing and defining the scope of clients' concerns in terms of stating the problem and understanding its scope. Managing client expectations and understanding the nature of the issue in terms of technical impact and pervasiveness. Utilizing technical and negotiation skills in collaboration with other support operations/organizations to prioritize and diagnose problems to resolution using problem determination/problem analysis skills.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Relevant University degree in progress, ideally in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Programming knowledge
- At least 1 yrs experience with a programming or scripting language.
- Knowledge & experience working in Linux or UNIX Systems
- Fluency in English both verbal and written. - Knowledge of database technologies, SQL, Cloud, or open source technologies
- Customer obsessed and ready to gain experience in the Customer Support area
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Operating Systems and/or Linux or Redhat certifications
- Knowledge of Business Analytics tools like Cognos Analytics, Tableau or equivalent
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Application tier technologies
- Web tier technologies
