**Position summary**:
The Tour Cost Analyst reviews tour invoices to ensure contracted terms are being met and match our projected budgets as listed in our Profit and Loss.
They work in collaboration with the Operations, Product and Accounting teams to ensure vendor payments are being processed with accuracy and timeliness.
**Location**:
San Jose, Costa Rica (hybrid 2-3 days in office).
**What you will be doing**:
- Review, approve and submit to accounting vendor invoices and payment requests in a timely manner
- Investigate potential invoice errors to understand discrepancies between services confirmed/contracted and services billed
- Work cross functionally with the operations team to clarify and resolve billing errors with the vendor
- Submit Product pricing errors or edits to the Product team via SharePoint and follow up until completion
- Submit Payment Requests with all pertinent information to be processed to Accounting according to payment terms and no later than 7 days after receiving the invoice
- Ensure vendor information is completed and up to date, and that missing W-9 forms are collected from vendors that did not provide this document, during the contracting process, prior to submitting invoices for payment
- Securely handling confidential information such as payment details
- Other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned
**What we are looking for**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to handle a high volume of invoices and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet.
Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Softrip is preferred, but not required.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Shown ability to work under pressure and handle deadlines
- Outstanding organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Business is conducted in English.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential
