**Ubicación**:Cartago, Costa Rica, CR**Familia de puestos**: Fabricación**País**: Costa RicaJob Function SummaryThe Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for initiating, leading and following-up improvements related to production and administrative processes by utilizing lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques.Major Areas of AccountabilityWorking closely with the Value Stream Manager on continuous improvements by using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologiesResponsibility for initiation, leading, implementation and follow-up on continuous improvement projectsLead the 6s initiative to ensure a strong foundation for stable manufacturing and improvementsHost Kaizen improvement events, Value Stream Mapping, and other Continuous improvement activities ensuring projects are done according to budget and timelinesDrive the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practicesAssist in setting annual operational targets and drive improvements to achieve those targetsDevelop/implement metrics supporting lean manufacturing philosophy to track process improvements and cost reductionsEstablishing and improving layout, both at macro and micro levels, which is suitable for an efficient manufacturing processDrawing attention to inefficiency of the system of Rapid Improvements EventsOrganizing training, creating training materials/process documentationsOther duties as required and assigned by the direct supervisor, or the General ManagerResponsible forPerforming their job in compliance with the guidelines givenDrawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelinesDrawing attention to inefficiency of the systemTake responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given positionEssential QualificationsBachelor's degree in industrial Engineer, Materials, Electromechanical, Administration or relatedMinimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and continuous improvementEnglish B2 levelPrefer QualificationsSix Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plusExperience in the medical device industry is a plus**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutionsMust be efficient and effective in time, quality, and cost managementAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProven experience working on a cross-functional team with strong ability to influence/motivate others to achieve resultsMust have demonstrated and effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with internal and external customersAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variablesModeration and training skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, Power BI, Power App is an advanceReliable and flexible in workCon unos ambiciosos planes de crecimiento, Coloplast desarrolla y comercializa productos y servicios que hacen la vida más fácil a aquellas personas con necesidades de cuidados sanitarios especiales.
