We are seeking a professional, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team in Costa Rica as a content specialist focused on writing. This person will author original content to position our firm, distinguish our talented professionals, and describe our innovative project work. In the position you will frequently collaborate with our office leaders, Practice Area and other business development leaders, marketing team, PR team, and firmwide communications writers to find and distill complex stories and interpret them for external audiences, furthering Gensler's market position.
What You Will Do
- Work with principals, senior staff, and marketing team members to capture compelling project stories.
- Maintain our project stories pipeline ongoing and coordinate project case story development.
- Manage day-to-day posting, editing and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Translate firmwide content into useful resources for marketing team.
- Share best practices for writing with the marketing team.
- Ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style.
- Explain and translate technical ideas in simple and cogent language.
- Additional writing and content development efforts, as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- 6 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or marketing
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, Business, Architecture, Interior Design, or Public Relations.
- Experience in writing blogs, articles, and social media content.
- Proven storyteller with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written with excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and solid knowledge of AP style editing and fact checking.
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus.
- Ability to lead conversations confidently and strategically with all levels of leadership and diverse project teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with a wide range of internal team members
- High comfort level working in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
