Your Role At Gensler, we design for people.We leverage our global perspective and local presence to innovate at every scale.We're not just designers.We're tinkerers, craftspeople, visionaries, innovators, and thought leaders.Fueled by passion and entrepreneurial spirit, our people bring new ideas to solve the world's most challenging problems, like designing a more resilient and equitable future for our cities and communities.We are seeking a professional, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team in Costa Rica as a content specialist focused on writing.This person will author original content to position our firm, distinguish our talented professionals, and describe our innovative project work.In the position you will frequently collaborate with our office leaders, Practice Area and other business development leaders, marketing team, PR team, and firmwide communications writers to find and distill complex stories and interpret them for external audiences, furthering Gensler's market position.An understanding of social media tools is essential.Experience in launching digital and social media campaigns is a plus.The ideal candidate should be adept at developing relationships with key industry thought leaders and possess a solid working knowledge of social media and digital media tools and technology.This individual will work closely with the PR team to create engaging content for social media, ensuring it aligns with overall communication strategies.They should stay on top of trends in digital and social media, continually learning and enhancing their skillset to drive innovative and effective campaigns.What You Will Do Work with principals, senior staff, and marketing team members to capture compelling project stories.Collaborate on content and narrative development to support a variety of marketing, PR, and business development activities, including thought leadership collateral, external speaking engagements, press releases, email/newsletters, blog posts, web copy, and presentation slides.Maintain our project stories pipeline ongoing and coordinate project case story development.Manage day-to-day posting, editing and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.Translate firmwide content into useful resources for marketing team.Share best practices for writing with the marketing team.Ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style.Explain and translate technical ideas in simple and cogent language.Additional writing and content development efforts, as assigned.Your Qualifications 6 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or marketingBachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, Business, Architecture, Interior Design, or Public Relations.Experience in writing blogs, articles, and social media content.Proven storyteller with excellent written and verbal communication skills 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written with excellent verbal communication skillsExcellent grammar, spelling, and solid knowledge of AP style editing and fact checking.Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple projects and deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus.Ability to lead conversations confidently and strategically with all levels of leadership and diverse project teams Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with a wide range of internal team members High comfort level working in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment Life at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.From curated art exhibits to internal design competitions to "Well-being Week," our offices reflect our people's diverse interests.We encourage every person at Gensler to lead a healthy and balanced life.Our comprehensive benefits include subsidized health and life insurance, profit sharing, annual bonus, LinkedIn learning, holiday observance, additional PTO days every 5 years and employee assistance programs.As part of the firm's commitment to licensure and professional development, Gensler offers reimbursement for certain professional licenses and associated renewals and exam fees.In addition, we reimburse tuition for certain eligible programs or classes.We view our professional development programs as strategic investments in our future.
