3M Is Hiring a Collections Team Manager
Oversees the day-to-day activities of Collections, Supervisors, and other staff.
Provides leadership, establishes goals, evaluates, develops, and assists with hiring department personnel.
Ensures all personnel is fully trained in the established procedures for collections.
Actively participates or leads intradepartmental teams to improve the order to cash cycle process.
Provides management with regular reports on department performance and makes recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee employees meet or exceed individual and departmental goals.
- Manage collections team and supervisors' performance according to the targets.
- Manage Facility Collections projects including the development of project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, deliverables, and implementation strategies.
- Continuously monitors established financial and operational benchmarks to identify and resolve variances and exceptions which may affect cash flow.
- Establishes and revises policies and procedures which support risk and controls and department processes.
- Delegate for Administration and System Security for Oracle Accounts Receivable.
- Oversees existing operating procedures, identifies efficiencies, and recommends appropriate modifications to implement improvements.
- Acts as a resource to the team, to peers, and to other business groups by answering questions, sharing opinions and perspectives, and participating in or leading special projects.
- Collaborates, aligns, and interact with senior leadership both internally and externally; including Sales, Finance, Revenue Accounting, Corporate Legal, and Compliance.
- Monitor department performance on key performance indicators and communicates progress to all levels of management.
- Make recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, training, and termination of staff.
- Evaluate Problem Backlog Reports and relay pertinent information to corporate and field personnel.
- Responsible for performance management, guidance, training, career counseling, and staff development, interviews, and selecting employees.
Recommends merit increases, transfers, and promotions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred, or ten (10) years equivalent work experience in collections with 5 years experience in a management role in AR.

- Ability to organize, manage, and motivate professionals to accomplish the assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Process ability to develop repeatable procedures and implement improvements for a growing organization.
OTHER POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- The position must work effectively with executive management when the need arises to escalate important and broad business issues.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of contract, order, and billing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements
- Ability to organize, manage and motivate professionals to accomplish the assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience managing major changes including system conversions, and database design for billing and collections.
- Familiarity with commercial credit/collections and bankruptcy laws.
- Excellent telephone customer service skills.
- Displays excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities as well as, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to participate in all required training programs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Oracle A/R, and OE Experience.- Getpaid
