Collections Coordinator

**Responsibilities**:

- Answering incoming calls about collection attempts
- Drafting Appeals/Reconsiderations to Workers' Compensation Insurance Carriers regarding Dental (ADA Dental Claim Form), Medical (HCFA1500 Claim Form), & Home Health Care/Durable Medical Equipment (UB-04/DWC10 Claim Form)
- Identifying any billing errors
- Identifying any payment errors
- Place outgoing collection attempt calls to Bill Review Companies, Workers Compensation Insurance Carriers, and Insurance Adjusters
- Document attempts in EZ Edge Proprietary Software/QuickBooks
- Determining if we do or don't have Signed Fee Agreement/Authorization and if we need to write off.
- Reviewing payer contract rates/terms to determine if payment is correct and if not utilizing that information to appeal.

**Qualifications**:

- QuickBooks
- Microsoft Office
- Financial Background of some sort
- Dental/Medical (Clinical) experience preferred

**Competencies / Personality Traits**:Critical thinking skills, creative/think outside of the box, pleasant/energetic

**Prior Experience**:

- Workers Compensation Exposure/Experience
- Medical/Dental background/knowledge
- Financial background/QuickBooks experience

**Performance Management**:

- Working a certain amount of accounts per day.
- Reducing AR buckets over 90+ Days
- # of denials of appeals (this will not happen if appealed correctly)
