What you get to do in this role: We are an Operations team that is responsible for the capacity of ServiceNow customers.
Manage, monitor, and manipulate the server farm behind ServiceNow's cloud.
Work directly on/with the servers to enable and optimize capacity utilization for ServiceNow's customer base.
Enhance processes and tools necessary to simplify and provide consistent project execution.
Provide proactive management and innovation to ensure 100% success of ServiceNow cloud automation.
Qualifications To be successful in this role you have: 1 to 2 years of experience Linux System Admin skills preferably working knowledge of Centos and RedHat.
Proactively monitor and maintain site-wide capacity demands.
Basic understanding of enterprise-class server hardware eg.
Dell.
Basic understanding of storage concepts such as NFS, and iSCSI.
Basic understanding of DNS/DHCP and PXE boot kickstart process.
Understanding of backup policies and restore concepts.
Intermediate to deep understanding of service and components of enterprise cloud capacity operations.
Basic experience in fast-paced operations and engineering environments.
Understanding of database concepts with specific experience with MySQL/Postgres.
Collaborate with partner teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
Team collaboration and fit are essential.
Nice to have Basic understanding of ServiceNow asset management.
Intermediate to advanced network troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of Puppet configuration management.
Good to have Storage configuration concepts configuration and experience.
Good to have API development, Ansible, Python, Linux shell scripting, and PowerShell.
